Wat zegt de wetenschap over bosbaden?

Forest bathing is een wetenschappelijk beproefde methode om veel voorkomende gezondheidsklachten te bestrijden.

Bosbaden wordt wel de zachte natuurinterventie genoemd en we hebben het over zachte aandacht. Deze begrippen zijn echter geworteld in harde wetenschap. In de jaren tachtig onderzocht het echtpaar Kaplan dit effect en noemde het de Attention Restoration Theory. Dit is nu nog wereldwijd de basis voor onderzoek naar effecten van natuur op het welbevinden waar ook wetenschappers als Agnes van den Berg hun onderzoek op staven.
