Friday Forest Club — Signs of Spring
March is a month in between. Winter is still there in the bare branches and cold ground. But the light has changed.
The sun stays higher and longer. Crocuses appear between the trees. Buds begin to open and if you look closely, the forest is already moving into spring.
For this last Friday Forest Club of the winter season, we spend three hours following those first signs. We wander through the Kralingse Bos, slow down, use our senses and find places to sit and stay for a while.
By the time we reach the Kralingse Plas, the evening light is still there. After months of meeting in dusk and darkness, that alone feels different.
There will be hot tea and snacks along the way. And if the conditions allow, we might even boil the kettle over a small fire.

This is the final Friday Forest Club of our autumn and winter season. If you’ve joined us before, you may recognise the places. They won’t look the same. That’s part of coming back.
